Regional areas
The government of Australia designated a number of areas as Regional Areas for immigration purposes. They are located near bigger cities in Australia.
Further, there are two categories of these regional areas that offer different benefits or incentives for skilled migrants.
Following are the two categories
Category
Major incentives are associated, eg. priority visa application processing, more jobs in the eligibility table as compared to non-regional cities. The international students who have completed their graduate and higher education, are eligible for one extra year on their post-study work visa in Australia.

Category 3
They have a priority in negotiating region-specific Designated Area Migration Agreements (DAMAs) and will have an additional 2 years work visa after completing their graduate and a higher degree from a regional campus of a registered institute. Priority visa application processing.
